The Soim Of The Belarusan Popular Front “Adradzennie” and the Conservative Christian Party - BPF

November 14, 2004 the Soim of the Belarusan Popular Front «Adradzennie» and the Conservative Christian Party - BPF took place in Minsk. The members have heard the report by Mr. Zianon Pazniak, Chairman of the Belarusan Popular Front «Adradzennie» and the Conservative Christian Party - BPF:

«The Belarusan people has been shocked by the results of the electoral farce and the referendum. Many persons are thinking about these events. But nothing will be positively changed until we will form the national elite, active Belarusans ready to struggle and to lead the people in order to defend the Belarusan interests. We have to promote this elite. You understand what has happened on October 17, 2004. (We warned the society on this danger one year before the events). The pro-Moscow regime has remained in Belarus. Lukashenka has preserved his power for an indefinite term. We understood the tactics of the regime (this style has been elaborated and tested in the beginning of 2004 on the elections in Russia). The regime has decided to preserve its power by every method. The legitimacy and the international recognition were not important. Its main task was - to remain in power. (Because of that the regime has permitted to all the foreign observers to come to Belarus. When it was necessary the observers have been expelled from the polling rooms). The Russian electoral scheme has demonstrated as well that the games under the title «opposition» had been finished. The regime has decided not to admit any candidate of the pseudo-opposition into the Lukashenka’s pseudo-parliament («the chamber»). The main function of this Lukashenka’s pseudo-opposition was to compromise the idea of the opposition in our society. The «opposition» has perfectly played its role forcing the people to participate in the «referendum». After the «referendum» the regime will replace the most effective agents from this pseudo-opposition to the reserve (like in Russia). A part of this opposition will be suppressed by the regime, its activity will be restricted. We observe just this process. This process is very dangerous because the regime will direct its blow as well to the Belarusan cultural institutions. It is the anti-Belarusan policy by the KGB regime. We have to understand that the regime will never liquidate completely its «opposition» because the pseudo-opposition has one of its functions - to hinder the development of the Belarusan national and liberation movement. The regime doesn’t expend money to this object. The process is paid by Brussels and Berlin. We have to understand the political abilities of the regime. Its operation «referendum» has been carried on in KGB style - resolutely, brutally and consequently in the negative circumstances (the majority of the people would vote against the regime).

It is easy to foresee the tactics of the regime. But the Western politicians cannot do it. Even primitive Likashenka is able to play them up. And the European politicians are not able to make any conclusions after their fiascos.

Recently the bad known Hans-Georg Wieck has made his next «democratic» proposal - to found the independent of Lukashenka «Belarusan» TV and radio in Russia. He proposes to transmit from Russia the information to Belarus (in Russian language of course): the liberal rubbish like «Freedom to Marinich» or «Freedom to Sheremet». They are just recruiting the staff for this free «Belarusan» TV. The Germans are busy in order to «fortify» the Belarusan democracy. We await a new wave of the russification made by the «democrats» and many other things.

We must continue our positive national activity. We must prepare and promote the Belarusan forces, basing our activity on the national and political enlightenment, on the ideas and organizations in order to unite the people for Belarusan national interests. The Belarusan National idea will unite our people. The initiative Belarusan Solidarity is one of the main programs of our activity.

The groups which have called to participate in the illegitimate «referendum» are shouting now: «Lukashenka has lost!» We observe their inadequate conduct again like after the elections in 2001. After the so-called «elegant victory» by Lukashenka in the presidential elections in 2001 these groups (which had supported the communist nomenclature representative Goncharik) have proposed a slogan «We have won!» They have won but together with Lukashenka and Goncharik against the Belarusan people.

The European liberals would like to have Belgrade in Belarus. Because of that they propose the Serb slogans to their political clients in our country. But there is the Belarusan people and not the Serb people, and there are some hundreds of persons under the leadership of the pseudo-opposition, there are not hundreds of thousands.

Now these political clients are elaborating the next project under the title «the alternative parliament» (in order to receive the new grants). We have proposed the idea of the Citizen’s Parliament five years ago. But the pseudo-opposition has ignored this idea. Then in 1999 it was possible to carry out this project because the regime didn’t have a so strong and perfect system of the control and intimidation. Now this project represent a next futile tentative of the political business in order to receive money. The Belarusan people ought sweep away the regime and at the same time sweep away the regime’s pseudo-opposition. These persons have fallen very low.

But we have not turn our attention to them. We have our duties and our good concerns - to act in benefit of our Fatherland for the freedom, independence and life of our people, for the future of Belarus».

Mr. Zianon Pazniak has defined the main tasks of the Front and the Party: to continue the judicial process against the Lukashenka regime in order to stop its illegal activity (the regime is forming the so-called «united state of Belarus and Russia») and to continue the action «The Citizenship of the Belarusan Popular Republic».

Mr. Yuri Belenki, the acting chairman in Belarus of the Belarusan Popular Front «Adradzennie» and the Conservative Christian Party - BPF, and Mr. Siarhei Papkou, the deputy chairman of the Front and the Party, have made the speeches as well. They told that our position during the «elections» and the «referendum» was correct. We appealed the people to boycott the electoral farce. The regime was afraid namely of the boycott and not of the protest voting because the boycott would signify the collapse of the regime. Mr. Belenki and Mr. Papkou have demonstrated the articles and reports of the mass media made by the leaders of the pseudo-opposition (coalition «five plus» and others) before October 17, 2004. These leaders consciously appealed and forced the people to participate in the electoral farce and the referendum. They have made this together with the regime trying to deceive and humiliate our people. Now they confess publicly that they have known in advance about the illegitimacy of the elections and the referendum, they have known that the regime will fraud the poll. We are witnesses of the complete discredit of these political persons and the collapse of their policy. They have the unique scope: to earn money on the people’s tragedy (the so-called «political business»). Now these false activists don’t mention the illegal referendum. They are pretending that Lukashenka has remained in power legally and are ready to participate in Lukashenka’s «new elections in 2006». They are looking again after the «common candidate». They are doing that in order to deceive together with the enemies of Belarus our people and to carry on the function of the puppets of the regime. The last events have demonstrated that the majority of the Belarusan people is against the anti-Belarusan regime. The people represent the real opposition to the regime. The small groups (formed by Hans-Georg Wieck in accordance with the KGB - Mr. Wieck had publicly recognized this fact in the mass media) are calling themselves «the united opposition». In practice they are an integral part of the anti-Belarusan regime. They are acting against the national and state interests of Belarus. Because of that we have the object - to unite the Belarusan society, specially the young people for the enlightenment and the struggle for the freedom and independence of Belarus.

The members of the Soim from different regions of Belarus told about the shock suffered by the people after the raw fraud made by the regime and its pseudo-opposition. The major part of the electors has voted against the regime. Now it is necessary to explain to the people who has organized this affair and why we have not to participate in the next electoral farces of the regime. The ordinary citizens say that the pseudo-opposition has lost its face. The members of the Soim related also on the adequate appreciation by the ordinary Belarusan people of the policy of the Russian empire and the events in Russia: «Russia is a horrible country ruled by the mafia. This is a country of the wars and economical collapse. It is inadmissible to found any unions or united states with despotic Russia». The Front and the Party ought continue the enlightenment and the political activity in Belarus.
