The Boycott to the Germans

THE BELARUSAN LANGUAGE IS THE MAIN VALUE OF THE BELARUSAN
NATION AND THE MAIN CONDITION OF THE DEMOCRACY IN BELARUS
(Appeal to the citizens of Belarus)

The Soim of the Belarusan Popular Front “Adradzennie” and the Conservative Christian Party – BPF has discussed the question of the policy of the European Union with regard to Belarus. The Soim notes that the plenipotentiary representatives of the EU base their proposals of the help to the Belarusan people not on the interests of the justice and democracy but only on the interests of the EU as well as on the interests of the particular countries – members of the EU. The representatives and structures of the EU ignore the Belarusan language – the main value and the main condition of the Belarusan democracy. They will not recognize the obvious fact that the national oppression maid by the pro-Moscow Lukashenka regime and its struggle against the Belarusan language represent the main and the most brutal violation of the human rights as well as of the vital right of the Belarusan nation.

This position of the non-recognition has been formulated in the decision by the European Commission to charge the German TV and radio station Deutsche Welle to broadcast to Belarus in… the Russian language. The European Commission has rejected the proposals maid by other radio stations which had planned to broadcast in Belarusan language.

The bureaucracy from Brussels does plan such form of the “help” to the Belarusan patriots. At the same time the occupation Lukashenka regime (its special forces OMON) is beating the people on the streets when the people speak Belarusan. The regime forbids the performances of the Belarusan music groups and the Belarusan songs. The regime has liquidated the radio stations which transmitted programs in the Belarusan language, has closed the Belarusan schools and burned the Belarusan school-books. The regime has liquidated the editorial houses which published the books for the children and young people and the Belarusan magazines for the children etc. These facts witness most of all the antihuman essence of the occupation pro-Moscow regime in Belarus and the violations of the human rights.

“I don’t understand why everybody is concentrating the attention on the language of our radio programs?” – writes Mrs. Cornelia Rabitz, the director of the Russian redaction of the Deutsche Welle, answering the questions of the listeners. ([email protected]).

If Mrs. Rabitz doesn’t understand this problem she shouldn’t do this job. Such conclusion has been produced from the following confession maid by Mrs. Rabitz in accordance with the Soviet tradition: “The content of our programs is most important for us in this redaction”. She is surprised: “We receive many critical letters in the redaction of the Deutsche Welle. But these letters are about the language of our programs and not about the content of our future programs”. (Radio Liberty, August 7, 2005).

Apparently Mrs. Rabitz really doesn’t understand anything. She doesn’t know that the Belarusan language represents namely the essence of the democracy for the nation oppressed by the regime. The language is important for us and not the confused thoughts expressed by Frau Rabitz (which doesn’t understand anything) on the German radio in the language of the Russian destroyers of Belarus.

We don’t need such “benefactors” and such helpers. Every who would like to help sincerely to the Belarusan people in order to change the antidemocratic regime and to resist the Russian imperialist policy should be ripe to understand the tragedy of the Belarusan nation and its struggle against imperialist Russia for our independence, state, culture and existence.

The German “sages” are trying to explain to us: “It is not important in which language are maid the programs, the content is most important”. (We remember the argument of the Soviet occupation – “there is no difference”). But if “there is no difference” let you broadcast in Belarusan! But no – there is “difference”.

We are not surprised that the Deutsche Welle supported by Brussels is continuing the russification of Belarus and is preserving the Soviet treatment of the Belarusan language and culture. We know the essence of the Russian and German common policy with regard to Belarus. Our independence does disturb them. We remember the speeches by the German intelligence officer Hans-Georg Wieck against the Belarusan language (when Mr. Wieck acted as the director of the OSCE Mission in Minsk). We know about his collaboration with the KGB directed against the Belarusan Popular Front and the Belarusan national and democratic movement (Mr. Wieck has publicly recognized this fact). We don’t have confidence in such “benefactors”.

We understand well that a short German-Russian program (30 minutes) for Belarus broadcasted on short waves doesn’t represent any importance for the Belarusan people. But this is a political combination. This is a Troyan horse in our information space used in order to falsify the information (they are excellent specialist to do this) and to continue the russification of Belarus. We know about the German and Russian project to cancel the Belarusan broadcasting on the Radio Liberty establishing the Russian language in the Belarusan redaction of this radio station.

We appeal all the Belarusans. Let us look on all these political “benefactors” from the Occident and Russia. They are liars and are protecting only their own interests.

We cannot remain passive. We have to unite our national forces in order to defend the Belarusan language, culture and independence in spite of differences of age and political views. We have to base our resistance on the popular solidarity, on the respect of our national values. It is necessary to resist the Germans and the Russians which are spiting to our face.

We appeal the Belarusan people to demand the European Union to cancel its decision on the russification of the broadcasting of the Deutsche Welle to Belarus as well as to stop the financing of this anti-Belarusan activity.

We propose to all the citizens of Belarus to boycott the German goods, German business, German tourists and all the German initiatives. Our slogan is – The Boycott to the Germans!

This is only the beginning. If the European Commission would not cancel its anti-Belarusan decision we will resist this policy and strengthen our solidarity.

The reality does confirm again that the destiny of the Belarusan future depends only on the Belarusan people.

Let us struggle for our Belarus and protect our country.
